Girls Hostel
  Admission Rules:
  1. Accomodation is available to college students(regular/casual). The number of seats is limited.
2. All students, old and new, seeking hostel accomodation are required to fill in the hostel form at the time of applying for admission to the college. This form must be signed by the parents/guardian.
3. Students seeking accommodation for the first time must be accompanied by the parent/guardian.
4. A student is required to bring two passport size photographs of parents (both mother and father) and local guardians (a maximum of two married couples) at the time of joining the hostel.
5. A medical fitness certificate, issued by a competent authority must be attached with the form. It should also carry the information of the blood group of the student and her sensitivity, if any, to any medicine.
6. The Principal is the final authority for admission to the hostel. She may refuse admission to any student without assigning any reason.
7. Mere submission of application form does not ensure admission.
8. The Student should deposit the fee on the day of her admission otherwise her admission will be treated as cancelled.
9. Hostel seat is allotted for one academic year only. Admission shall be sought afresh in every academic session. The reservation of the hostel seat for the next session can be done on advance payment of Rs.1000/-. This amount is non-refundable but adjustable in hostel fee.
10. Hostel seat may be denied to the old resident if her conduct, attendance and result of house tests have not been upto the mark.
11. A wrong statement of facts or wilful concealing of information may lead to expulsion of the resident.

  Rules for Hostellers:
  1. Rooms are allotted by the Warden in consultation with the Principal. Residents must not interchange their rooms without the permission of the Warden.
2. Merit in studies and other fields alone is taken into consideration at the time of allotment of seats. The basis of allotment can be modified by the Principal/Warden as necessitated by the circumstances.
3. Student must be present at the time of allotment of seats.
4. Room mates shall be the students of the same class except in the case of real sisters or first cousins.
5. Each resident is provided with a chair, a table and a cot. Furniture is not to be removed from one room to another in any case.
6. Resident will be responsible for any damage to the hostel furniture, curtains entrusted to her.
7. Residents are expected to maintain perfect discipline in the hostel, common room and the mess. They should remain in their rooms from 9 pm to 6 am.
8. All kinds of shouting, hooting, violent knocking or any other act likely to create disturbance is strictly prohibited.
9. Day scholars are not permitted to visit or stay in the hostel.
10.If a resident absents herself from the college/hostel without any reason/permission, her parents/ guardian will be informed accordingly. In case she does not mend her ways she will be removed from the rolls of the hostel and the college.
11.Playing cards, smoking, taking of meat, eggs, cakes, pastries, wine etc. in the hostel is strictly prohibited.
12. Residents should not display or be in possession of any obscene material.
13. Absence from the hostel for the whole day or late arrival without prior permission of the Warden will be taken seriously and heavily fined.
14. Residents must look up the hostel notice boards at least once a day to read important notices. Ignorance will not be accepted as an excuse for non-compliance.
15. All routine/serious complaints should be made to the warden only.
16. Residents are expected to report on the days of the re-opening of the college after holidays. Failure to do so will result in a fine of Rs. 50/- per day.
17. Residents will not be allowed to stay in the hostel during the summer vacation after the University examination (theory and practical) are over.
18. Residents are advised not to keep excessive cash/jewellery and other valuables with them, the college does not take any responsibility in this matter.
19. The residents are expected to be modestly dressed up in the hostel. They should not roam around in the college campus in their night dress.
20. Night roll call will be taken everyday by the Warden at 7 p.m. A resident present in the hostel but absent from the roll call is liable to a fine of Rs. 10/- per instance.

  Rules for Parents/Guardians:
  1. Parents are required to submit to the Principal the name and address of two local guardians (two married couples related to or well known to them) on the specified form.
2. Students, single males (except biological elder brother/sister) shall not be considered as local guardians.
3.Identity cards will be issued to the local guardians by the hostel authority.
4. In case of loss of the Identity card, a duplicate card can be issued on a payment of Rs. 50/-.
5. Visitors are allowed only on visiting days during visiting hours.
    Visiting Days:     Visiting Hours:
    Saturday         2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
    Sunday           10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
6. Visitors will meet their wards in the place reserved for such meetings.
7.Parents/friends/visitors are not allowed to go to the resident's room.
8. Visitor's Identity cards should not be left with the wards.
9. Ordinarily female guests are not permitted to stay in the hostel, except in case of an emergency, and that too with the permission of the Warden. In such an exceptional case the guest will be accommodate in the Hostel guest room for which she will be charged Rs. 100/- per night.
10.Parents are advised to check the attendance card, house test result and record of the outings/night-out of their wards.

  Outings:
  1.Outings will be allowed to residents once a fortnight with parents/local guardians on Saturday and declared holidays. These residents will be required to report for evening roll call on th next day at 7 pm.
2.Except for long breaks (Diwali, autumn and winter) the rest of the outings will be considered local outings which will be given during visiting hours only, i.e., from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
3.Once a student enters the hostel her first outing will only be after a fortnight.
4.Residents availing night out must make entries in night out registers specifying the date and time of departure as well as arrival.
5. Late comers will be allowed to enter the hostel only on submitting their identity cards with the gate keeper.
6. Wrong entries in the night out register, and absence from the hostel for the whole night, late arrival without prior permission of the Warden, being an act of gross misconduct can lead to heavy punishment and/or expulsion from the hostel and college.

  Food Facility+Hostel Mess Rules:
  1. Good vegetarian Indian and Chinese food at reasonable rates is served in the hostel. All residents must take their meals in the hostel mess.
2. . Meals will be served in the dining hall only. Food is not to be brought in the room without the permission of the Warden.
3. Residents must observe meal timings.
4. Cooking area is not open to the residents.
5. No reduction is made in the mess charges even if a resident stays away.
6. Snacks can be had on order in the evening cafeteria.
7. Residents should not misbehave with the mess servants.
8. Complaints against food, service, and servants should be made to the warden.

  Electricity:
  1. Lights, fans, geysers must be switched off, when not in use.
2. Residents are warned against the removal / tempering with the electric installations.
3. Residents are not permitted to use any private electrical appliance such as radio, transistor, heater, electric rod, iron etc. Walkman is allowed only with earphones. In case of default the appliance will be confiscated.
4. Non compliance with any of the electricity related rules will entail a minimum of Rs. 50/- fine.
5. 5. For all electric repairs the Warden of the hostel should be requested in writing.

  Vehicle Parking:
  1. Residents can avail of the vehicle parking facility on payment of parking fee.
2. Residents are advised to get their vehicle insured against theft/loss. College will not be responsible for any theft / loss/ damage to the vehicle.

  Withdrawal from the Hostel:
  1. Applications for withdraw from the hostel should be countersigned by the father/guardian and submitted to the warden only after the hostel dues/fines have been cleared.
2. No resident shall leave the hostel without personally handing over charge of the room and furniture etc. to the hostel clerk.
3. Parents / local guardians must come personally when a resident vacates the hostel. The visitors identity cards (parents / local guardians) must be returned to the warden before leaving the hostel.
4. Caution money will be refunded to a resident only after she has cleared all the dues and handed over the possession of the room.
5. Caution money if not claimed within one year after leaving the hostel, will stand lapsed.

  Note : Resident students who do not abide by the hostel rules and are found guilty of misconduct, damage to the hostel property or remain habitually absent from their classes or those who are found involved in unionism or politicizing the hostel atmosphere are liable to be fined and/or expelled from the hostel and college.
  THE PRINCIPAL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHANGE/ALTER ANY OF THE HOSTEL RULES AND DUES.
