    2. History & culutre of Punjab(HCP)/Punjabi(PBC) for students taking up history& culutre of Punjab.

    Eligibility for admission B.Com.-I

    Admission to the first year of B.Com(General) degree course shall be open to a person who has passed one of the following exdaminations conducted by a recognized board/council/university.

    1. +2 examination or B.Com. Part-I(old scheme) of Punjab University with three of the following subjects securing at least 40% marks in aggregate:
      1. Commerce(or theory of commerce or foundation course in commrerce).
      2. Accountancy (or Book_Keeping and accountancy).
      3. Economics.
      4. Mathematics(or statistics).
      5. Busines Organization (or Business management or theory and practice of management).
      6. Insurance(or general insurance or life insurance).
      7. Banking and Trade.
      8. Commercial Geography.
      9. Office Managemment and Secretarial Practice(or office organization and management).
      10. Mercentile Law(or company law).
      11. Auditing.
      12. Typewriting and Stenography/ Computers(for typewriting).
    2. +2 examination or B.A. part-I(old scheme) of Punjab University with at least two of the subjects mentioned in (a) securing at least 45% marks in aggregate.
    3. +2 examination or B.A. part-I/B.SC. part-I/pre Engineering/pre-medical examination of the Punjab University under the old scheme not covered in(b) securing at least 50% marks.
    4. Any other examination recognized by the university as equivalent as to (a) or (b) or (c) as given above with requisite percentage of marks given under each clause.

    provided that candidate seeking admisssion to the first year of B.COM. should passed in the subjects of english at the +2 examination and
    in cases where passing in english is not necessary according to the regulations of certain boards/bodies/concils/universities in india,the admission of the candidate shall be provisional and will be confirmed only after she has cleared the subject of english as deficient subject from the parent board/body/council/univercity in two consecutive chances subsequent to her admission.

    Compartment cases

    provided further that-:
    1. A compartment candidate at the +2 examination shall be eligible to offer in the B.COM. 1st year class the subjects in which she has been placed under compartment,subjects to the provision under regulation 3.

    2. A candidate who has not passed english as one of the subjects at the +2 examination shall be allowed to offer, in the B.COM. 1st year class,english (as communication skill) but she will have to clear english as deficient subjects,subject to the provision under regulation 3.

    3. In case a candidate does not clear the relevent subjects in any of the two consecutive chances afforded to her subsequent to the date of her admission, her provisional admission to the 1st year of B.COM. examination shall stand cancelled.

    4. a candidate who has been placed under compartment in the +2 examination conducted by a board/body/council/university in india shall be eligible to seek admission to the first tear of B.COM. course,provided she fulfills the following:-

      1. She should have been placed in compartment in one subjects only;

      2. She should have been obtained at least 20% marks in the subject in which she had been placed in compartment and 20% marks implies theory and practical taken together.

      3. She should have obtained the requisitepercentage of marks in the aggregate of the examination as laid down in the relevent regulations

      4. The student who have compartment in +2 class with less than 20% marks be also allowed to be admitted provided they gave obtained 20% and above marks in the supplimentary examination upto the last date for admission.They shAll be considered for admission to the next higher class provided they were eligible and subject availability of seats .
